The project discusses the phenomenon and the arbitrariness of diets in women‘s magazines. The nutritional values given by various diets differ greatly from each other and there are no medical reports. The biggest problem is that these publications create an illusory female image, which disregards individual body characteristics.
The topic is examined in an experimental graphic work, using one of the best known “beauty ideals”. For each diet, a matching “filter” is used to present the effects of the respective diet on the “Venus”.
